Cafe Moskau
Built into the interior of the former GDR building, Cafe Moskau (Cafe Moscow) is a dance club, art space, and cultural hang out spot in Berlin's Friedrichshain district near Mitte. Located on Karl-Marx-Allee (Karl-Marx-Allee 34) across from the historic Cinema International, Cafe Moskau incorporates the original architecture's steel, wood paneling, and glass, but warms it up with a welcoming lounge bar on the ground floor, a restaurant upstairs, and a relaxed bar and dance floor downstairs.

Cafe Moskau also features a glass-backed open-air courtyard, original mosaics in the socialist realism style, and a sculpture of the USSR Sputnik satellite above the entrance. Many local and international DJs cycle through, and music varies depending on the night, including reggae, drum and bass, house, soul, funk, and downtempo. The first Thursday of each month, a gallery party celebrates new artwork shown in the space. The cover charge for the club ranges from 5 to 8 euros, depending on the day and event.
