Berghain & Panorama Bar
Well known as Berlin's techno headquarters, with world-class DJ stars gracing the turntables, the club Berghain is popular with technophiles and partygoers looking to dance until dawn (and beyond). Located behind the Berlin Ostbahnhof railway station in the Friedrichshain district, Berghain inhabits a former power plant at the end of Am Wriezener Bahnhof, incorporating much of the original concrete and steel design for a truly industrial feel. The main Berghain dance floor features a 59-foot ceiling, a 1500-person capacity, and an anything-goes atmosphere.

The top floor houses the Panorama Bar, offering a more intimate dance floor, a wider range of techno styles, and a collection of stunning Wolfgang Tillmann photographs documenting the club's previous incarnation as Ostgut Freischwimmer. Berghain also has its own techno label, and even collaborated with the Berlin Staatsballett to create a ballet set to techno and performed at the club.

The Panorama Bar is open on Fridays, Saturdays, and some Thursdays; Berghain is generally open only on Saturday nights and for special DJ events. The cover charge is usually around 12 euros.
