Film buffs everywhere can take in the rich world of cinema and its history at the Deutsche Kinemathek (Berlin Film Museum). This fantastic museum takes you through a thematic and chronological tour of German cinema. One of the collection's major highlights is a permanent exhibit that explores the link between Berlin and Hollywood. A further focus is documentation of Germans from the film industry who were exiled in Hollywood.

Currently, the museum has some 13,000 German and foreign silent films, along with 30,000 screenplays, 20,000 posters, and 60,000 film programs. Not to be missed, another special feature is the collection on special effects, animation, and fantasy films, which includes animation cells, designs, and miniatures.
